The Laxmi Vilas Palace was built in 1887 by the ruler of Bharatpur and converted into a hotel in 1994. Here guests can relive the history of the erstwhile rulers of Bharatpur, and enjoy the warm hospitality extended by the present generation of the family living in the Palace. From the traditional courtyard to the newly refurbished rooms, the old style has been preserved throughout - a lively fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture as well as "Brij" culture.
