DAY 01 – ARRIVE DELHI Greeted by India Travel Centre representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Vehicle for transfer)
DAY 02 - IN DELHI This morning go on a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Raj-Ghat: Cremation Garden of Mahatma Gandhi followed by a visit to the Mughal monument of Jama Masjid. Take a stop at the grand Red Fort. In the afternoon go for a sightseeing tour of New Delhi where you will visit the mighty Qutub Minar (Victory Tower), the unique lotus shaped Bahai Temple, India Gate (War Memory arch) – President's Palace & Parliament House. DAY 03 - DELHI - VARANASI (9W 723 - 1040/1150 hrs) After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. You will be greeted by an India Travel Centre representative and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon take an excursion to Sarnath where you will visit the tranquil deer park where the Buddha delivered his first sermon. You could also visit the magnificent Stupas built in third century by emperor Ashoka. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Vehicle at Disposal) *
DAY 04 – IN VARANASI Early this morning drive to the Ghats along the river Ganges where you can enjoy a boat ride. You will get the opportunity to witness the fascinating early morning rituals being performed by Hindu devotees along the river-bank. Spend the afternoon at leisure. In the evening visit the ghats again along the river Ganges to witness the evening prayers (Aarti). Return to your hotel for your overnight stay. (Vehicle at Disposal)
DAY 05 - VARANASI - KHAJURAHO (IC 406 – 1220/1300 hrs) After breakfast you will be transferred back to the Varanasi Airport for your connecting flight to Khajuraho. On arrival in Khajuraho you will be met by an India Travel Centre representative and transferred toyour hotel. Later in the afternoon, visit the famous Jain Temples followed by a visit to the Western group of temples where one can see the erotic sculptures that Khajuraho is famous for. DAY 06 - KHAJURAHO - JHANSI (175 Kms/4 hrs) JHANSI - AGRA (Train: 1756/2025 hrs)
After breakfast leave Khajuraho for Jhansi, visiting Orcha en-route. The beautiful medieval town of Orchha was once the capital of the Bundela Kings. Built along the banks of the river Betwa, flowing through a rugged countryside, it still retains the captivating air of a bygone era. Amongst the various imposing edifices is the Jehangiri Mahal, the Raj Mahal and the Laxmi Narayan temple, noted for their fine frescoes and mural paintings. On arrival at Jhansi, transfer to the railway station in time to board the Shatabdi Express train for Agra. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. DAY 07 - IN AGRA Today you can visit the majestic Taj Mahal, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan with pure white-marble in memory of his beloved wife - Mumtaz. It took him 22 years and 20,000 labourers to finish the building. Another important landmark of the Mughal era is the Red Fort, built by Emperor Akbar with its maze of courtyards, mosques and private chambers. You could also visit Sikandra, the tomb of Akbar the Great. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Vehicle at Disposal)
DAY 08 - AGRA - JAIPUR (232 Kms/6 hrs approx) After breakfast, depart for Jaipur enroute Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Stop for lunch at Bharatpur before continuing to Jaipur. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Vehicle at Disposal)
DAY 09 - IN JAIPUR Depart on a full day sightseeing tour of Jaipur and Amber. Jaipur city was founded in 1727 AD by Maharaja Jai Singh who was not only a great statesman but also a keen astronomer and an architect. The highlights include the Amber Fort, the Observatory (Jantar Mantar), City Palace and museum. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Vehicle at Disposal).
DAY 10 - JAIPUR - UDAIPUR (IC 7809 - 0745/1030 hrs) Transfer to the Airport to take your connecting flight to Udaipur. On arrival at Udaipur you would be welcomed by an India Travel Centre representative and transferred to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy a boatride in the evening at Lake Pichola where you can visit the Jag Mandir. Overnight stay at the hotel (Vehicle for Transfer)
DAY 11 - IN UDAIPUR Today take a city tour of Udaipur including a visit to the City Palace on lake Pichola & Sahelion- Ki -Bari, the "ladies garden" and the Jagdish temple. In the afternoon take an optional visit to the Eklingi & Nagda Temples where you can explore the Siva Temple that was built in 734. The walled complex includes an elaborately pillared hall under, a large pyramidal roof and features a four faced image of Siva made in blackmarble. Overnight stay at the hotel. DAY 12 – UDAIPUR (90 Kms/0250 Hrs) Depart on a day excursion to Ranakpur where you can see the fascinating architecture of Jain temples. Marked as one of the five holyplaces for the Jain community, these were created in the 15th century. The central Chaumukha [four faced temple] is dedicated to the Hindu God Adinathji. The temple is an astounding structure with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Vehicle for Disposal)
DAY 13 - UDAIPUR - MUMBAI (9W 3401 - 0840/1020 hrs) After breakfast transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Mumbai. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Later leave for half day tour of Mumbai city where you can visit the Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens, Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India and Marine Drive dubbed as the Queen's Necklace- which is one of Mumbai's most popular promenades . DAY 14 - MUMBAI / DEPART Spend the day at leisure or shop for bargains in the many shopping avenues in Mumbai. Departure transfer to International Airport for your return flight. (Vehicle at Disposal)
