| Detailed Itinerary : |
Day 01 - Arrival Cochin Welcomed by India Travel Centre representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel. A port town since early centuries, Cochin, offers you some fascinating snippets of history and culture. Relax and unwind at the hotel. In the evening you could go for a relaxing sunset cruise. Overnight at the Koder House. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 02 - Cochin - Kannur (By Train) Board train to Kannur and enjoy a short journey through some very picturesque rail routes. On arrival at Kannur, transfer to your hotel. Kannur, as anglicised as Cannanore - is bounded by a wealth of natural beauty. In addition, Kannur enjoys the credit of having been the cradle of many a colourful folk art and folk music of Kerala. In the evening enjoy a Theyyam dance performance at a temple near your resort. Overnight at the Kairali Heritage. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 03 - Kannur Go for an optional sightseeing tour to explore the local areas that include the Parassinikkadavu temple, Kannur Fort and the handloom industries. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Kairali Heritage. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 04 - Kannur - Tellicherry (21kms/1hrs) Drive to Thalassery (or Tellicherry as the British christened it during the times of the Raj), a vibrant fishing town in the north of Calicut which is famous for the 3 C's- Circus, Cricket and Cakes. It is known for being the first British settlement in Kerala and needless to say cakes and cricket were both introduced here by the British. Visit the bustling fish markets in Tellicherry. Day 05 - Tellicherry Today you could drive to the fascinating Muzhipillangad beach which is Kerala's only drive-in beach. In the evening take part in a cookery demonstration by Faiza your hostess, who is renowned for her 'Mopilla' cuisine. Overnight at the Ayesha Manzil. (Full board) (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 06 - Tellicherry - Sulthan Bathery (146kms/3.5hrs) Drive through winding roads in the hills covered with thick forests, coffee, rubber and tea estates, crop plantations to Sulthan Bathery. Check-in to a plantation estate tucked in a 400 acre coffee and spice plantation. Rest of the day at leisure exploring the beautiful estate. Overnight at the Tranquil Plantation Hideaway. Day 07 - Sulthan Bathery Visit the Thirunelli Temple set in a serene location amidst the Brahmagiri hills. With its lush vegetation and gurgling clear streams, the place presents a breathtaking spectacle. The shrine is shielded with 30 granite columns and the ground is paved with huge square pieces of granite. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Tranquil Plantation Hideaway. Day 08 - Sulthan Bathery Today visit the Wayanad sanctuary where one can find animals such as sloth bears, sambhar (wild deer), elephants, monkeys, tigers, reptiles, deer, panthers, and many species of rare birds. Overnight at the Tranquil Plantation Hideaway (Full board) (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 09 - Sulthan Bathery - Vythiri (45kms/1hrs) Drive to Wayanad set in the picturesque Western Ghats and mountains at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level. Littered with tropical rain forests, dense hills, rolling paddy fields, spice plantations and valleys, Wayanad is a hitherto undiscovered location offering breathtaking views. Discover the enchanting rainforests. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Vythiri Resort. (Full board) (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 10 - Vythiri Visit The Edakkal Caves which are a pre-historic rock shelter. You could go for rock climbing or boating on the Pookot Lake. Overnight at the Vythiri Resort. (Full board) (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 11 - Vythiri - Calicut (80kms/3hrs) Drive to Calicut also called Kozhikode, the traditional capital of North Kerala and it is a leading trading centre for spices on the west coast. Visit the Hindustan Kalaripayattu centre to witness the Kalaripayattu demonstration. In the evening go for a relaxing cruise in your private houseboat through the stunning backwaters of Calicut. Day 12 - Calicut Visit the fish markets or venture into Calicut town and visit the sweet meat street and the many colourful shops. You could also visit a century old tile factory founded by the Germans and later acquired by the British. Overnight at the Kadavu Resort. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 13 - Calicut - Cochin (By Flight) Drive to Calicut airport to board flight to Cochin. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and unwind. Go for a sightseeing tour of Cochin which will include- The Jewish synagogue, St. Francis church, the Santa Cruz Basilica, the Dutch Palace, the spice market and the 15th century Chinese fishing nets. Enjoy a full-body Ayurveda massage today. Overnight at the Koder House.(Vehicle at disposal)
Day 14 - Cochin - Departure Departure transfer to Cochin airport for the return flight. (Vehicle for transfer)
